Item Type: Conference or Workshop Item (Invited Presentation)
Abstract: We are involved in teaching the next generation of product designers and illustrators. We work with toy companies and children’s book publishers. We are involved with creating and licensing images worldwide. Through this work we have become very interested in how images cross cultural boundaries, so we are exploring how to learn more about the process. How we can best teach new creators and how we can improve our own design practice? In this paper we intend to share our current research and experience, working on projects involving dolls houses, wooden educational toys, picture and pop-up books
