Abstract:
This chapter explores the significance of current developments related to diversity and then addresses the following questions - What is the relationship between history and contemporary issues? What is the relationship between diversity as a concept and its substantive content? Developing a Big Picture of the past: What are the implications for diversity? This will be followed by a series of guiding principles which we hope will support the development of diversity in the history curriculum
