Abstract: Based on extensive global research concerning board and director effectiveness, this presentation will examine the role and contribution of women on the board. The lecture will examine: What makes an effective board? The changing nature of governance; and the cultural influence on the process of wealth creation and company performance. The special place of women on boards will be explored on an international comparative basis contrasting developments in the UK, USA, EU and Ghana
