Abstract: | On Saturday June 14th 2014 at All Saints Church Northampton, the University of Northampton Popular Music department's chamber choir and band, alongside Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust's string quartet performed a post-modern re-imagining of Vivaldi's 'Summer' and 'Gloria', Verdi's 'Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves' and 'Dies Irae' and Orff's 'O Fortuna'. These pieces of music from the Western Classical canon were given a Breakcore/Uncommon Techno treatment the likes of which is very unusual. |
