Abstract: | Naturally occurring radon gas can be present within buildings in sufficient concentrations that it becomes a health risk. Such levels can be reduced, and so radon remediation programmes in radon affected areas in both workplaces and the home should result in reduced risks to the population. This paper presents the latest evaluation of the benefits and costs of such programmes, and compares programmes in schools, houses and workplaces. |
