Abstract: | Hallux abducto valgus (HAV), although commonly seen in adults, is often found in juveniles. In either age group, HAV can cause considerable problems, with treatment not always being successful. The aetiology of HAV is still unknown. Generalised hypermobility has been proposed as a predisposing factor. Few studies exist to support this claim, especially in the case of juveniles. |
