Abstract: This book is for health and social care professionals to provide information and insight into the experiences of people and families living with a diagnosis of young onset dementia. The aim of this book is to increase the knowledge and skills of these professionals in the early recognition, diagnosis and post diagnostic support of younger people with dementia and their families. The book considers the experiences of people and their families living with a diagnosis of young onset dementia. In exploring these experiences it provides practical learning points to implement into practice to provide a better understanding of what it means to live with a diagnosis of young onset dementia and how to provide appropriate support and care. This is a clinically focused book, with some personal experiences provided through case study examples.
