Abstract:
The aim of this workshop is to share good practice in relation to the joined up approach between academics and placement support services. A lecture style session, which highlights employability research and the positive impact of work experience, has been developed and delivered to a group of first year students at Northampton Business School. The lecture was followed up by a seminar session, run as a team effort across a range of services offering workplace guidance and opportunities. This has resulted in an increase in students declaring an interest in placements and work experience.
