The debate about new house-building looks set to run and run......A particular focus is being given to how regional and local strategies might support the creation of ‘sustainable communities’.... but.. the current debates on house numbers and wider strategies are all very well, however they risk repeating the conventional focus upon the quantity of properties, rather than on the quality of their planning and of the neighbourhoods within which they will arise
