Abstract:

The objective of this lecture is to discuss the fundamentals of the modern lift (elevator) technology. The lecture provides an introduction to elevator system engineering which deals with the subject of assemblage and interfacing of the various major components of the elevator system in order to provide a suitable building transportation system.
