Abstract:
This presentation gave an overview of the historical roots, groupuscular dynamics of the extreme right in Britian. It presented the following conclusions:
The British extreme right is becoming increasingly transnational
The British extreme right hosts a wide range of ideological positions
British extreme right groups offer a wide range of activism
The British extreme right is capable of developing new youth movements
The British extreme right poses ongoing risks of political violence, from hate crimes to terrorism
The British extreme right remains a marginal phenomenon, though poses a range of issues that need to be addressed
