Abstract:
Learning objectives
By the end of the chapter you should be able to:
•• develop an understanding of how digital technologies can be used to
teach computing as a subject and enhance teaching and learning across
subjects
•• reflect on the potential for using digital technologies to promote collaboration
and help children engage in meaningful dialogues with each other
and with the wider community
•• develop strategies for taking into account teachers’ roles, use of
resources and assessment needs when planning lessons using digital
technologies
•• recognise that children can use programming tools to become makers
rather than simply consumers of digital content.
