Abstract:
Summary of reasons to undertake ESRC study : Position in 2011 : crisis of ‘growth’ demands - tensions and conflicts increasingly evident what impact of Sustainable Communities Plan ambition for a ‘step change’ in housing supply, or for ‘Sustainable Communities?’ What different models could emerge? What new ways of thinking? How would people live? The exciting problem to address : what does it mean to understand and deliver ‘sustainable housing growth’?
