Abstract:	This Editorial introduces the Special Issue of the European Early Childhood Education Research Journal (EECERJ) 25(2): 'Perspectives from young children on the margins', edited by Jane Murray and Colette Gray. The Special Issue emerged from the work of the European Early Childhood Education Research Association’s Young Children's Perspectives Special Interest Group (SIG). In a global context where people are more connected than ever before in some ways, yet in other ways becoming less connected, Murray and Gray present a carefully curated collection of ten leading edge articles reporting empirical studies that shine a light on young children’s experiences of liminality.
