Item Type: Article
Abstract: This article will examine the most recent definitions for gastro-oesophageal reflux (GOR) and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). It will identify common symptoms seen in infants and explore potential investigations that may be required. There are a variety of treatment options available, and the health visitor has a significant role in taking appropriate history, referring parents to fellow health professionals and providing support for families. This article will discuss important points to consider when engaging with families where GOR/GORD may be of concern.
