Abstract: | This Technical Note is part of a continuing programme of action following the recommendations of the 2006 UN Study on Violence against Children (UN Study. This Technical Note results from a review of 22 country programmes identified, in part, from the 2010 Country Office Annual Reports. The Note comprises an account of what is expressed as ‘good practice’ in reducing violence against children in schools. It is the result of close collaboration between the Child Protection and Education Sections at UNICEF HQ (New York). Working also with Child Protection and Education teams in country and regional offices information and programme reports to inform the review and serve as a basis for the development of this Technical Note. The latter is designed to support Regional and Country offices, encouraging collaboration between Education and Child Protection and related sectors at country level, including joint sector planning and implementation by drawing on their combined expertise |
