Abstract: A wide variety of British universities are expanding efforts to attract international students. This paper argued that HE's claim to all-inclusive ‘universality’ may thereby be challenged by subsequent issues of cultural particularity in the classroom. A main contention is that there are meaningful differences in the way people from different cultures approach learning
