Abstract: | The article discusses the use of questions in educational interaction. Mirroring the role of Language Discourse and Society in liberating intellectual energies and supporting the voices of academic in a global dialogue, the article considers the use of questions, among others actions-in-interaction, to support children’s agency towards dialogic teaching and learning. The article is also a possibility to celebrate a successful action-research project that embodies the very essence of the RC25 as it is animated by the idea that through language, individuals not only (and I dare say not so often) produce a photographic reproduction of reality. Through language, individuals construct their social worlds, the meaning of their experiences and position themselves and others in terms of status, rights and agency, in the local contexts of the interaction and beyond. |
