  Abstract:
              This research has shown that Learning Development tutorials have a strong positive impact on student attainment (6 per cent). This has fine tuned the team’s focus as it aims to see every student across the university.  In addition, the research creates some interesting questions for the team:
-what is preventing males having tutorials?
-black ethnic students use tutorials the most and gain the 
 most from them; why? 
-mature students gain less from tutorials;  why and what 
 can we do more to support them better?
